FUE Hair Transplant FAQ (Anxious client)

Could I see a picture of your custom hat please ? ( The picture is attached)

Would it be possible for you to draw a line on one of my pictures to show me the area that you would fill please ? (This has been sent on mail)

Just to clarify, we are talking about FUE right ? no strip surgery ? (Yes, we do not do FUT in cases other than type 6 )

I’ve read that FUE wastes 30% of hair follicles during donor harvesting while strip wastes 1-2%, and that strip leaves no residual damage, whereas FUE damages the hair surrounding the grafts that was removed – residual damage. Is that really the case ? and if yes does that mean that of my 3500 grafts, only 2450 will survive ? (These arguments by advocates of FUT do not hold water any more since FUE has progressed by leaps and bounds in the past 3 years. New equipment, finer punches like Harris punch, etc. The survival of grafts is the same if not better than after FUT. The trascection rate of FUE in my hands is Indian male- 0.7%, Caucasian male- 1.7%, African male- 7%). However, since FUE is completely dependant on the skills of the doctor, results and wastage can vary greatly. People also have wastage rates of 30% still. But they are centers which do not do one case of FUE every day. We have been doing one FUE case daily for the past 2 years).

I have also heard dr Gho of Hair Science Institute (with his highly debated hair multiplication technique) say that the Saline solution used to preserve the grafts harvested is very vulnerable to cell death which results in thinner hairs and lower survival rate, do you use a different preservation medium or use Saline ? And what is your opinion on that please ? (All commercial hype. Ask them to show their results.I use PRP and Ringer’s lactate solution to preserve my grafts and hence the better growth) Continue reading FUE Hair Transplant FAQ (Anxious client)
